so a few moments ago it hit me just how special excelsior is to me and there are many reasons for this so i decided i would take the time to say how i feel. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! i love almost everything about this shard and the people within it it has truely defined what i consider to be a great game it is easy to see why, we have a great game customized to even greater hights, run by a dedicated Administrator, supported by selfless GMs and filled with friendly, supportive and fun people from all over the world. to this all i can say is THANK YOU its been a great 2 years and i cant wait for the next stay awesome excelsior

I just can say: i've been playing this game since i was 12. now im 28, almost 29. i've played in all kinds of servers, and this one is the best by so far i just cant think of the words to express it. Pointless to list all the virtues that both administrators and players display every single day i've played here. Committed and very experienced people like these (like US xD) wont be easily found, either in UO or any other instance of life.

So THANK YOU and congrats to all of u (to all of US).

Although I am still only two months new to Excelsior, I have been playing UO since it's first release in 1997. Like most others here, I have also been through many servers and a lot of the player-run shards as well. I am beyond impressed with Excelsior and think that I have finally found my permanent UO home.
For me, it's the balance of +staff and players that have made this such a welcoming shard. Some players have lately been complaining that there are too many rules here. I think the rules are in place for a reason. Never before have I seen a shard that strives to make each and every player enjoy their experience here. There are far less annoying (insert the profanity of your choice) and deceitful players here than on any other shard I've played. I think we owe that to the +staff and the veteran players that have been so kind and patient with all the new players out there, myself included. (I know how exasperating we can get, sorry!)
I have to mention the fact as well that the +staff have taken a great game, and made it simply amazing, by all the little changes that are exclusive to Excelsior alone. This has been my most enjoyable UO experience ever.

I have to agree that this is not only the best shard, but one of the best gaming experiences I've had.

I started playing UO back in 1999 and then got on to the WoW wagon. After 6 years of raiding and dealing with rude, drama-loving keyboard warriors, I left and went in search for another MMO. Nostalgia and a yearning for the simple yet in depth world of UO brought me back late last year, and I subscribed to the paid servers for a couple months. Unfortunately that was severely underwhelming and I nearly gave UO up until I found this wonderful shard and community.

So, long story short, thank you to the administrators and the kindness of the people on this shard. Without your care, effort and determination to make this shard enjoyable for everyone, a grumpy old man like me would have no games to play!
