Paperdoll Suffixes

Recently, after years of playing as a weaponless mage, I thought it wouldn't hurt to gain up Wrestling and related to 130, as I do end up tanking on occasion, so why not get that occasional +1 extra damage and +3% chance to parry? Well... this seemingly no-harm idea resulted in my book-wielding ...

Re: Birds of Excelsior

Sweetness a first customer and she ain't even done yet! :goodsuprise: I knew this would be a hit! First step Excelsior, next step the World! (っ◔◡◔)っ ❤ Thanks that'll motivate me to finish the book. So far I've got 12 illustrated and 17 described, so it'll be a ways to go yet, because then I have to ...

Re: Birds of Excelsior

Right Zanazaz, they become a kind of inert statue rather than a controllable pet, called a "shrink", so they don't count towards your active pets even though the shrink still bears your name on it. (The name is trivial, as anyone of appropriate level in possession of the shrink can open the pet and ...

Birds of Excelsior

Hail fellow birdwatchers! It occasionally gets to that point you're making up your own quests, and this past week was such a game for me. I took up the hobby to collect one of each tameable bird in Britannia, which includes all the various named small-bodied "birds", and of course the uniquely ...

What's your "circle of transparency"?

What's your "circle of transparency" set at? Do you leave it that way all the time or change it? How frequently do you change it? I typically only turn it on when I''ve redesigned the architecture and must move a newly hidden item, or to do yardwork behind a west or north wall, then turn it back off ...

Venus and Adonis (1593)
by William Shakespeare ⁖

"Even as the sun with purple-colour’d face
Had taken his last leave of the weeping morn,
Rose-cheek’d Adonis tried him to the chase;
Hunting he lov’d, but love he laugh’d to scorn;
⋱ Sick-thoughted Venus makes amain unto him,
⋰ And like a bold-fac’d ...

Re: The Excelsior Gaudí

Ah yes! I can see the resemblance!

While looking it up I read some speculation that Gaudi's name was the origin of "gaudy", meaning "flashy, showy, bright, often clashing colors or excessive ornamentation." However, further reading shows the pairing is but ...

- A book dye tub. Not runebook, just books, including tomes.
- A portable universal dye tester tub.

I love the suggestion for an actual-character-shrink ツ✌

Round 3 of 4! :D

After narrowly escaping the acephalous equestrian, I hesitated before my next gate. There's really no way to know what you're walking into. These Halloween masters don't fool around, they'll cobweb the entrance and load it with - jewel-eyed spiders!!?
