Re: Roadmap part 1

None of these extremes are good, and they also don’t mix well. Actually... that depends on how you architect your software. Suppose you have a core process whose only job is to manage the object store. It maintains the positions and characteristics of everything in the game, communicates them to al...

Re: Roadmap part 1

Lol, obviously never been to Australia, mate. Copper wire all the way! Wouldn't help you anyway. You're 200ms over the the undersea fiber cables from most of the rest of the English-speaking world (or at least to the UOEX server). More than half of that is the speed of light in glass. The rest is t...

Re: It Can Be Done

I like it, however, even with 40 items the bag's gump becomes very untidy.... I do like the idea of lots of weightless storage in the backpack, but I also like to see what is in each bag You can put normal bags in the bag of holding. Backpacks still have the 400 stone limit bot normal bags seem to ...

Re: idoc event?

How does an IDoC event work? I’ve never been a part of one and I’m curious. Houses for folks who haven't logged in for a long time go through a series of decay stages, the last one of which is "in danger of collapse" or "IDOC." You can check the stage by mousing over the house s...

Re: Auction?...... Input?.... update?

"You further agree not to create or provide any other means through which others may play Ultima Online, for example, through server emulators." "You don't need approval from EA to run a freeshard" Dude, work on your reading comprehension. The quote from the TOS says exactly the...

Re: Auction?...... Input?.... update?

someone who pays taxes just like this shard [...] 1. Government funded = taxpayer money Which is NOT just like this shard. 5. You don’t need permission to run an UO shard, especially now that EA doesn’t run their own shards. What you need permission for is to use the intellectual property created b...

Re: Auction?...... Input?.... update?

Just stop with the nonsense. This shard is as "free" as are the public roads we all use to drive on. While we don't pay a fee to access those roads, they are paid for by someone who pays taxes just like this shard exists because of all the people who have spent hundreds or thousands of do...

Re: Idea as far as Beekeeping script

I read all the posts in regards to beekeeping. And I have an idea that might work. The script I wrote should be in the forums somewhere. What I did was to "shrink" the beehive image, blurring the pixels together, and then ramp up the "contrast" so that full areas became white an...

Re: Pine needles bugged ?

i dont understand your answer so i said a month+ of vacation and that is the 672 click did just read the title of the post ?? That's about 1/8th of the number of clicks you would do to tend the hives over the same month. And you don't even need a complicated script, you can macro it -- double click...

Re: Roadmap - part 0

Just writing the part1, any day now. But if you're hoping it will contain anything particular that you would like, it likely doesn't contain that. Howdy, Question for you: there are a handful of things frustratingly missing from the yard wand. Floors matching classic house floors in particular. I d...

Re: Pine needles bugged ?

It's per day. Don't know who said per week but they misinformed you. As you observed, pine needles are priced at around half a million gold per week to hibernate the bees. That's a little less than you'd earn from them if they weren't hibernating, so one week of tending the hives pays for one week o...

Re: Back from the dead

I gave away everything I have when I left so I have a character that has no money and no equipment but lots of skill. How much skill? 150 str/dex, 130 combat skills kind of skill? If not, I would start over. But if you have all those skills built, I would suggest donating a few bucks and using the ...

Re: Levelling a weapon

Fel mobs give 2x weapon xp, but they also have 2x HP and you can't recall around so you have to factor in the time cost getting to them.

Undead give more xp than other mobs. Possibly just in Deceit; I'm not sure.
