She did design the quest; it's probably okay to keep giving her the credit.

Re: winter event area

Do you have a pet attacking something (e.g. a trainer) somewhere else?

Re: About John Warren...

The thread is literally called "About John Warren..." I don't like it. I have paged in game about the thread title. Okay. Well, I don't see how the particular words +C used on the forums twice in ten years (let alone the ones he used on the web page documenting the official rules) give ri...

Re: About John Warren...

Hey Wil, see the quote on page 1 that I used parts of when +C reprimanded me for using in game names on the forum when stating I didn't like their behaviour. Naming and shaming has always been a "no no" on the forum. Hi, You mean this 2019 post: https://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=...

Re: About John Warren...

But yeah, I'm not sure if what Wil said is true or not about calling someone out by name for something on the forum or WC no longer being against the rules. I was tracking that was one of the few hard and fast rules to never break. I've got a warning on my record from +R for violating the Call out ...

Re: About John Warren...

So... -technically- +C changed the rules a couple years back so that afk macroing outside of some specific approved uses (like skill training) was no longer allowed. -Practically- speaking, he was tired of arguing about which macros were profiteering and which ones weren't. Making afk macros general...

Re: About John Warren...

Personally, I see folks macro-walking unattended as an opportunity to practice my carpentry skills. How many wooden crates will it take?

Re: Kill Stealing Solutions

Personally the fact that we allow scripts to have people recall around and kill things without needing to actually be doing the killing themselves seems a much bigger problem than steal killing by a million fold. That scripts are welcome here is one of the two things I like most about UOEX. Plenty ...

Re: Kill Stealing Solutions

I've only had a kill stolen once in the past year and once I explained the rules (and gave him the codex URL to confirm) he apologized and was perfectly decent about it. If you run into the rare person actually being a jerk about it, take a recording and report it. Also bear in mind that the rules h...

Re: Looting time for European players

The game engine has a 500ms (1/2 second) timer on many actions, like drag-drop, where it will refuse the action if the client asks for it faster. You'll get a message in your journal or a "bounce" action. Because of jitter (inconsistency in delay) you usually have to program macros out at ...

Re: Does anyone know (+C?) how para critters work?

As I understand it, the paragon runs the same RNG for dropping a treasure map as an ordinary mob of the same type. If treasure map comes up yes then you get a paragon chest instead.

Re: Keep loosing conn

I am not sure what algorithm UO uses. It might even be a custom more complex one, though I doubt it. UO does not use Dijkstra's algorithm. If it did, it would consistently work instead of becoming confused by large obstacles, distances and elevation changes, and wandering weird and inconsistent dir...
