Creating A New Wiki Page

In order to create a new Wiki page, simply type in the normal Wiki url (http://www.uoex.net/wiki/Main_Page) and replace the words Main_Page with an acceptable title of your own, and press enter to navigate to that page.

Once that page opens, you will see the following text:

There is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page.

Choose to edit the page and begin designing your new Wiki page! =)

Another method you can use for creating a page is by typing the name you want the new page to be into the Search box on the far left, then press Go. As long as the page name is not currently taken you will be taken to a Search Results page that says the following:

No page title matches

There is no page titled "Example". You can create this page.

Just click on "create this page" to start editing the new page.

Finding A Home For Your Page

The next step, is to find a home on the Wiki for your page. You need to find the subject your page pertains to, usually somewhere on the Wiki's main page.

For instance:

This page was designed to help Wiki scribes design and place a new page. My first step after designing the page was to find a suitable place for this page to be linked to, so that its easy to find, and can be of use.

Since this falls under "Editing UOEx's Wiki", I opened Editing UOEx Wiki and edited the page in order to add the link to this page.

• Note: Always be sure to PREVIEW the page you're editing BEFORE you save it.
