Old Times - My Old Guild Site from 7 Years Ago

Now that's interesting. I haven't seen this site in a few years. I made it back in 2004 when I was playing UO back then. A lot has happened since then and today I stumbled on it while looking for a script to help with a suggestion I made.

This site was initially intended for the guild I ran...

http://vipguild.tripod.com

It doesn't exist anymore but in looking at the site.. wow.. Did I ever spend a lot of time back then trying to create an organization. Laughs. Wish I had that kind of time now.. ;-)

Fair enough.. I'll try to not be "weird" from now on.

This post was brought about because I was searching for a script to go with the suggestion I made earlier today. It was something I had seen on one of the first shards I ever played on which got me looking for remnants of that shard and maybe a clue as to where I might find more information concerning the scripts used. While searching for this old shard I stumbled upon a guild site I had built 7 years ago and hadn't seen for probably almost 6 years. I thought it had some interesting ideas at the time and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed the game so I thought I'd share it here with other people who love the game.

Sorry for sharing. I'll try to be more conservative in the future.

Ohhh don't listen to Gwen, she's always like that, you'll get used to her she is a character :P

This looks amazing, I can see you was dedicated to the guild, was it successful and how many members did you have ? am I right in thinking it has RP elements to it , where did you play before ?

Gwen and Starion,

Gwen doesn't phase me too much (Sorry Gwen no 'pout/upset') but I was taking her opinion in hand as she does seem to be a straight shooter and I can expect she will be the first to voice what maybe others are thinking but won't say. I actually appreciate that quality. A little diplomatic tact would help though.

Starion,

A few questions there...

- I had just started playing UO a couple of months earlier and was really taken by it. I was trying to learn it all and give it everything I had at the time. I had quite a passion for it then. The shard itself had at that time about 150-200 players and about 40-60 or so would log on at a time. My guild wasn't large but I was trying to offer something unique so that it would grow. I had at that time probably about 14 or so members and we were loosely RP. We had set up a system of values to adhere to and in that respect we played our parts but we did not go fully in depth with the RP as it was not an RP shard.

The shard I joined back then changed hands and names a few times but I remained a part of it the whole way through. If I remember correctly, when I joined it was :
Blackeys --> Blackeys Revenge --> Sheinar Reborn --> Oracle-Shores --> Closed I believe. (Stopped playing UO at that point.)

Now I'm looking to get back into the game and enjoy. This seems like a pretty good place to play, even if Gwen is a little rough around the edges, that adds character. Keep me honest Gwen.. ;-)
