Is it possible to solo defect a Paragon Balron without pet?

Any veteran can share the experience?

You can easily kite them with a bow and get it done with just spirit speak and achery.

now if you are talking about standing there and meleeing it without kiting or retreating once, i'd suggest you get max resists, 175 life and about 200 dex before you try. Thats the bare minum, optimal would be 250+ life, 220 dex, max resists and life leech on a yumi, at that point theres no way a single paragon balron would be able to kill you.

I know myself, and a few others on the shard could probably kill three or four of them at one time, toe to toe without retreating.

The ability to do that is IMO the problem with the shard, I can wrestle Para Balrons with my shirt off. If we are given the ability to become super powered, give us super powered monsters too, otherwise gameplay gets boring quick.

I agree it would be nice to have a dungon that just was not posable to solo, right now the only place i don't go is umbris camp and thats just because i haven't got 220 dex yet. somewhere with ballys and dragons that arnt just to laugh at while you drink your tea. somewhere you actully just couldn't do without 2 or three team mates even if you have 5 or 6 relayers...somewhere with a few of those palace guards from prox with 56k hp but that actully hit like the fire dragon, maybe a few ice wyerms lurking in a couple of the rooms....

It seems that Hit and Dex are crucial to defect the Paragon Balron.
Could you please tell me how to get 250 hits and 220 dex? What amour are you equiped?

Getting up to that high Hp and dex is fairly expensive. Most people getting up to those levels have relayers so they have lots of extra stats that most people can't get to. Here is a pretty basic list of items that can get you pretty high without any relayers (but spending EDs will likely still be necessary).

+25 dex cap (up to 150)
+25 str cap (up to 150)
Levelable weapon: +8str/hp/dex
Ring/bracelet: +8str/dex (can get +10 rarely from some peerless, the +8s can be crafted)
earrings: +8str/dex
Spirit of the totem: +20 str
Jackal's Collar: +15 dex
Royal Hive Robe +10str
Gloves of the pugilist: +8 dex (there are some other options for gloves)
Crimson Cincture (forget the stats on this, has +hp and str)
GoC chest/sleeves/boots
GoC boots can be swapped for batwing sandals (+10 dex)
Crafted leggings / Leather skirt of the Amazon (+8 str) if you are female

With this set up (goc boots and leather skirt and without crimson cincture) I have 270 hp and 205 dex. I could get up to 220 dex but would lose a lot of other stats.

Angelform is also useful because it gives a large boost to +str and +dex (+20 at 100, +24 at 120 spirit speak).

edit: as gwen pointed out below there are no goc leggings, thought I would fix this since someone was mentioning it in chat

there are no goc leggings, stats on the cc are like +10 life and +5 str and hp regen of some amount.


its also worth noting that increasing your individual stat caps to 150 in str and dex costs 500 ED (50ed per +5) and without a stat cap scroll you'll be sitting at a mighty zero intelect. (Which probably isn't even possible)

yeah i forgot the "leggings" are the boots. Not really sure what men use for leggings, probably crafted gear with high +hp and stuffs like that.

I should also note that I don't have maxed resists in my gear.

Honestly I haven't tried to solo peerless with just using this gear. I use pets because they have so much hp it's not worth the amount of time it takes to do it solo (for me at least).

I've melee'd them a few times successfully. The first time with around 225 hits and only 170 Dex. I still have no relayers. I did have to run out of range 5 or 6 times to heal. Relayers are awesome, but you don't have to have them. They give you more stats and let you cap all possible increases on your gear, but you can still easily max all your fighting caps (dci, hci, damage +, etc) without them. As far as peerlesses, some are doable, some people have, I got bored after about 5 min and pulled my pets out. It is hardly worth the time, just bragging rights.

Yes, it is safety to use Pets to kill monster but the satisfaction is so so becuase they are killed by the pets, no me.
Just want to know who (Hero) can face the champion without fearing and defect them solo.

I can solo two of them, never had to face more than that at one time.
