Yeah I was more than thrilled with how my picture turned out. I have always given props to people who had artistic talent. I have no artistic talent whatsoever, even my stick figures look fat.

So there's the process for ink and color. I use three different kinds of pen, a .38, a .5, and a fine tip felt marker. I begin by following the lines and choosing a cleaner outline than the pencil provides.
Facial features come first, so as not to smudge the original pencil lines and make them hard to see.


When the outline is finished, a large eraser is used to remove the pencil lines, leaving only a clean inked image.


Next, the hard black areas are filled in. Zeratul has a large amount of this, so I use a large tipped felt marker to do the solid black areas.


Finally, pencils are used to achieve gradients and tones that markers have a more difficult time fulfilling.
Final text work is done and signature is applied =D
This is just a photo, this afternoon I will take a trip down the road to get it scanned and put onto a USB so you can see a full, flat version of the image.

A handy hint if you are sketching from screen :
Go to Windows Start, and search for "magnifier".
I also find this tool very handy for searching my cluttered backpack.

this is actually a really good example of being able to make requests. These toons are yours and you have specific ideas on how they look in your minds. I did the same for Tredin: morphing objects from the paperdoll into something slightly different, to go along with the image you have of your toon. =D don't be afraid to ask for some details like this! Please PM for sketch times and for information on colored pieces and comics.

Yeah, I have a Mohawk/Skull Cap on my head because I wanted to get the look of a Spartan's helmet with the horsehair flair on top. She nailed it!

Okay here's a little story about Tredin's color process. I mainly work with pencils because affording markers like Copic brand is a bank breaker IRL, so I stick to black markers that don't leave streaky lines, which is sooo terrible.

Well then, Enter the curse of dark colors and my pencils.

See, Tredin has a very dark color scheme that's really nice. But my pencils refused to comply. I had this at one point and was pulling out my hair. I hated it, and I knew he would too. I even tried to see if my pens could save it but noooo too streaky.


While taking a trip down the road to the office supply lady to see if I can use her scanner to scan Zeratul's piece (she doesn't have one so now I must set a up a light box with my DSR camera, no big deal) I found out... she has artists markers. Not Copic brand, nor Prismacolor, but still, wonderful fabulous artists markers.
Also lucky me found out about Tredin's color scheme change just in time for me to buy the right colors.
And that's how we ended up with this:


I am really proud of having been able to save this XD I spent a day and a half stressing over color, I feel like Alph is now looking at me like I'm crazy. Artists, seriously.
Gratz, Tredin! You are now in glorious living(?) color that isn't too pale or streaky! =D
And Zeratul, I will set up my light box as soon as possible and photo that picture properly.

I think we need to start a gofundme account to get Adelia the pencils and markers she needs. I was tempted to just buy a set myself and see if I couldn't get one of you wonderful people to pay the shipping (like go halvsies or something) but I recently racked up a lot of med bills cause I got bit by a dog so its not in the cards atm.

I've already showed the sketches of me to like 20 people. They were all like Neo (woah!).
