Thank you, Colibri.
I think you have summed it up quite nicely.
1. The shard time is easy to see and easy to calculate.
2. And also, Taine, as I have stated, and as you have stated, I was aware of you walking up to a town crier and saying "news" then recieving the needed information. Later on when you were blatantly rude through public chat, commenting about the time differences, I think that those who must have tried to answer you did more then they should have.
When you come to people with rude behavior, and demand information, followed by derogatory statements about the situation at hand, (in this case, about the time posted on the Town Criers) I am curious as to what would lead you to think you would even get a single response. When you act this way you must remember that you have been shown much grace by receiving any answer whatsoever. And even still, being answered politely buy fellow players. Your actions and your attitude do not warrant any assistance from a 'realistic perspective'.
On any other shard, you would quite possibly have been banned or jailed for your behavior long ago. Here, we like to give people the benefit of the doubt, extending courtesy far beyond it's thresh hold.
So to answer your question, as to why I did not specifically answer to your public chat ranting, I believe I have just made myself clear. Besides the fact that as staff - as admin for that matter - there are many responsibilities and much preparation work needed for events, auctions, and the like. And with your rude temperament and the way you presented yourself, I quite simply had more urgent things to address at the time. (More importantly, all the information you needed to evaluate and conclude with, was right on your computer screen. I.e, your computer clock and [time check in the game, whereby calculating the differences.) Even still, I was not sitting, watching the entire situation play out, but merely, catching bits and pieces as I was working.
You need to realize that, in life, when communicating with others, there is a right way and a wrong way to approach things. The right way, is to ask kindly, and considerately, appreciating in advance, the time that someone will take out of their day to respond to you, or to provide you with assistance. You do not, however, treat a situation as you have, with rudeness, and expectation of entitlement when it comes to a response from a player or a staff member. You are not entitled to an explanation, and analysis, a reason, or an intervention.
You have, however, been graciously given all of these things for various reasons at various times and quite possibly, you have exhausted your fellow shard mates and staff by your lack of respect. So, instead of blaming everyone else for this mishap, I think that you should be looking a little closer to home.
I would like to also add, as Colibri mentioned earlier I believe, that we have an auction every 2 weeks, regularly. The entire world is not going to implode due to being late for/missing a single solitary auction. So whereby you miscalculated the time, or possibly even lost track of time, it is not even slightly worth this much effort to complain about. And in saying this, I do not plan on discussing the subject anymore. There are more important things at hand.
