Same thing happened to me. Didn't have any lag issues this week until late yesterday afternoon. After a couple hours of bad lag and occasional disconnects, got the frozen trying to login in. Eventually got in (more than an hour later) but the lag is still there. Figured it was a new hardware issue in the internet.
