Re: customizing [claim
Anarchy, i've tried using many different auto looters, almost everyone i find just moves so slow that it is a loss of profit by a significant amount, or it just crashes me every few minutes. i have even tried using the one u posted on coding talk. it works well and semi-fast but when hunting in places where theres alot of corpses it doesnt do the job effectivly (quickly) enough atleast IMO
thanks for the comment bub ^_^use an auto-looter. BUT can't fault people for there own options like custom claim or no claim. just script an auto-looter that does that for you.

That's the trade-off though... more wealth (from gems or whatever else you [claim), or quicker kills... You can have more cash, or better efficiency, not both, and it works that way nicely

Re: customizing [claim
So correct me if I am wrong but our current list of claim able items are arrows, bolts, gold, bandages, fertile dirt and ointments.
Possible items to be added that aren't the end of the economy except maybe gems or daemon bones would be elven notes, daemon bones, bones, gems both common and rare, gargoyle tools, runic tools, reagents, and organics.
Possible account bound items to be added G.o.C. pieces and Quest Items as long as the rules of spawn killing are observed this should be a problem since they are account bound/kill based.
So this idea is a very old one dating back years on the shard and although it seems like a great idea to pick and choose what you claim it also has a few draw backs. Personally I don't think it is a top priority to be coded when auto looters already exist as does auto claim which has already caused drama. The first draw back obviously would be a rise in previous non-claimable loot as Dramoor mentioned. Second overload our already overloaded staffers with more nonsense pages about who claimed who's kills. Not sure if the win would be greater then the loss in the scenario.

Re: customizing [claim
meh i kill quicker than most people and i guess i don't mind the loss of profit from a few milliseconds. ah well each to their own.

Re: customizing [claim
I mean why have to wait to do anything? lets just make more money faster and faster. Might as well throw in free titans hammers and +50 stat scrolls and all that to everyone for free.
Re: customizing [claim
well i do not think items like garg tools, deamon bones, runic tools should be added to the list of things that can be added. this is because those are items you SHOULD have to search a corpse for, and if claimed then yes there will be a influx in the economy bbecause they are more high end items. now quest items should not be added IMO bc then yes u will have the issue of (*HA i got this or that item* *you arse that was my kill*). now with the issue of who claimed who's kills, that already happens in places like doom, so i do not see a big increase in complaints with those because you have to damage the target to even claim it.Possible items to be added that aren't the end of the economy except maybe gems or daemon bones would be elven notes, daemon bones, bones, gems both common and rare, gargoyle tools, runic tools, reagents, and organics.

never said it was, i just said i would like to see this implemented eventualyPersonally I don't think it is a top priority to be coded
since you quitting anyways go ahead and give your stuff out free since you wanna be a smartass about it?I mean why have to wait to do anything? lets just make more money faster and faster. Might as well throw in free titans hammers and +50 stat scrolls and all that to everyone for free.

I love how someone who doesn't talk to me says I am quitting...Playing Halo 4 since it came out and quitting are two totally different things.
Re: customizing [claim
let me correct myself because that was incorrect assessment by me,
(from what i am told by plenty of people atleast) is that you (Dramoor) are quitting and if those assumptions are wrong (which i hope they are, even if i dont talk 2 u, sad to see people leave) i am sorry.

Re: customizing [claim
Personally... I kinda like things the way they are.
A claim all that collects wood and gems would be nice,
But I feel people would just abuse this a bit more and AFK gather things that way,
at least with a script you can somewhat tell, I feel that with an actual command it would be harder.
Maybe I'm wrong? but that's Just how I feel
however maybe you could add gems to the claim list?

I don't suffer with insanity, I enjoy every moment of it.
Re: customizing [claim
yeah i don't think high value items should get added but i completely disagree about the influx of gold being a problem i am talking about minor gems, lockpicks, feathers, things we use but only worth selling to vendor {if that} or maybe that could be a guide for what gets added to claim like only items not on exex
Really think that claim and claimall are fine my real problem is claimall grabs to much garbage and possibly droops the valuable loot on ground. and claim throws free tokens away.
goes back to what i said before
Make the keys work like the gem pouch drag and drop for the win. >>>>would make claimall a usefull as people want claim to be with added bonus you get free tokens from putting garbage in the garbage for tokens bag.
PS auto looters have never worked for me always crash my game
Also i think everyone who takes the time to post wants to help make the shard better we should remember that kinda like the old school saying there are no dumb questions or in a server development or server improvement threads no dumb ideas, just ideas proved to be less than helpful.

Re: customizing [claim
Scuba, i add roughly 100k in a few hours of farming while looting gems. If it were included in claim, i could increase efficiency, AND gold. I have roughly 4k of each gem on me right now from just about 2-3 days of farming. If i went specifically for mobs that dropped gems, i could probably do better than that. The value of just the gems i would sell to the jeweler is: 1,158,060. I also received some special gems that i could also sell, but lets ignore those for now. An extra million in a week say for an average player is quite a huge difference, dontcha think? 2 mil or more a week for those with the time to farm for hours on end? not to mention the gold they are already getting, plus oints if they hunt in fel, plus special gems, plus...?
It doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up quickly.

Hey so a little off topic here but I wanna throw this out there and it is only my opinion. It is not personally directed at anyone in particular who posted on this for I do not think I am absolved of blame in that which I write.
If you create a forum post then you should be open and prepared for all criticism that will be directed towards that post. Every player has an opinion and should be entitled to freely express it however rude or nonsensical it may be without violating the codex. Constantly quoting and firing back at others ideas or input only ruin the original posts goal and turn it into a flame fest.

And yes I'm ready for the criticism or I wouldn't post on our forum full of trolls.
