Milestones are back!
(so much about bumping old threads ).

The shard is definitely not just about the numbers, but we had several fun milestone seasons and it would be fun to do it again.
For the "Gaming season 2014/15" I'm announcing the following milestones:
200, 220, 250*, 275, 300* players online.
If we reach that, I'll probably announce more. (* double reward - 10ED)

For the rules, you can scroll back through this thread, but just a quick refresher: when we reach a certain number of players online, all the players who are online at the time, get a reward. Since it usually goes a bit beyond the milestone, you get a reward whether you were online at the actual milestone, or the peak of players online during that evening, or any time between, but max 3 hours after the milestone was reached. (for example, if we are trying to get 200 players online, there may be 214 players a few minutes or an hour later).

The reward for every player is a stack of 5ED and a decorative "milestone" that you can display at your house (and might become a valuable/rare item after a few years). Note that the 250 and 300 player milestone are double reward, meaning everyone gets 10ED. The rewards are usually given out within a few days after the milestone is reached.
A disclaimer on multi-accounting: since ED are an important currency of the shard and are transferable between players, I will be monitoring for possible multi-account use. Penalties for using multiple accounts are severe, especially if it's about gaining things that are meant to be one-per-person (multiple accounts for more houses, bees, macroing, etc).
(I'll do this in an automated way, with the use of my knowledge of computer & information sciences, and years of studying data patterns. )

Milestone 200 achieved!
Last weekend, late Sunday evening shard time, we reached 200 players online and kept going to 208.
The next milestone is set at 220 players.
It seems as if this time, when I have emphasized the rule about only being allowed one account, the milestone was a tad harder to achieve

All of you who were online at the time have just received the reward: 5ED and the milestone decoration.
I've almost fully automated the system, so there's very little chance of you being left out with the reward. But if you know you were online at the time, and didn't get a reward, send a help request and I'll look into it.

Milestone 220 achieved!
Today - Sunday 16th November 2014. With a peak of 227 players online at 22:15 shard time. We were over 200 since around 17:00 shard time
Next milestone is set at 250 players online. The reward is double: 10ED.

This time the rewards were given out in a very speedy fashion, 5 hours later. As announced at the start of the season, the reward for 250 players online will be double - 10ED instead of the 5ED. And the standard milestone decoration, this time perhaps in a silverish color.

Just a quick reply, this weekend we reached 235 players online, and it reminded us of the pending milestone here. The milestones were announced for the previous "season", and i wasn't sure whether to restart/renew it again this fall. But since we were quite near the already pending 250 milestone, I am now declaring that this thread is still valid, the 250 milestone (with double reward - 10ed per player) is still waiting to happen.

I've rearranged the past milestone "stones" at the Trinsic bank roof, and also added the last two (200, 220).

Great, good to see such a large shard population. Just a quick comment, you are missing the small pink one for 235 players on Jan 27, 2013 on the Trinsic Roof.

Milestone achieved! Next milestone: 275

On November 2nd at about 2AM shard time (actually November 1st, evening/afternoon US time), we reached 250 players online and about 20 minutes there was a small second peak at 251. All players who were online at either the 250th player logging in, or the 251st player connecting, have just received the reward in their bank box (10ED and decorative milestone).

Next up is the 275 online (5ED). And after that, if we reach 300, it's 10ED again.

It's great to see the shard back in the 200+ numbers almost every day, even if we had a restart that day.
