mining script help

Post by Fiernocht »

okay, I have tried 6 different mining scripts out, and worked with them many different ways to try and figure this out. No matter what I do, when I run the scripts and it gets to the mining spot, and tries to dig, it says target cannot be seen. and will never dig no matter what rune I go to, it always says target cannot be seen, cave floors, mountains, sandy areas... I am thinking this is a client issue I am having, like I might be bugged, but logging in and out does not work... any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Fier;

I assume you saw the issue with Cyberpope's Mining Radar after the latest client update? That very same issue might be what's causing your problems now. The solution was posted in the forums, you might want to try the same solution to fix your problem.

@Kara.. If you recall the post to the forums about this maybe you can link it? I can't seem to find anything about it.

Sorry to hear that Fier. Welp, I'm all out of ideas. I've never actually gotten Spewey's to work for me, ever.

Hope you find your mining script.

hi Fier,
I was just playing around trying to get that message when mining manually. If i move a step or two away I get the "cant be seen" and if I move a few more steps away I get the "too far away" msg. So I'm thinking somehow your char is taking a step or two after recalling to a mining spot, or perhaps you're recalling to just a step or so away from where you need to stand? This may be telling you something you already know but all I can think of.

Yeah, my char is standing perfectly still, so Im thinking its just not recognizing the tiles... I am going to try and figure out how to use a VM so I can run things in windows,

I had a go at editing cyberpope's a while ago when I had the same error...

thinking back...
the problem came down to it scanning the area and incorrectly determining whether you were underground or not. There was a tile type or something that isn't saved which it uses when targeting the mine spot.

I solved this by editing the script to:
* save the tile type as well as the coordinates of the mine spot.
* attempt to mine all tile types when searching for new mining spots.

ie:
-when you go to a new spot, it checks a 8x8x2 grid rather than 8x8.
- then saves the x,y,z rather than just the x.y

I can't remember if I completed the editing ... (at work and can't check)
I'll test it out over the weekend and post it if it is in a state to do so.

Righto I had a look...
The script I had to edit was Penny's craftaid.

Have you tried that one?
