This weekend, while surfing the net, I came across the Excelsior site and remember trying it out a many years ago. I figured I would download it again and try it out. I was surprised to see my character still in the list when I logged in. I logged in and started to get antiquated with the game again. I am though, starting to have some issues. I have almost no skills (100 in med and just got 100 in animal lore today) and almost nothing else. I started taming in the taming area and got my taming from 40 to 58, but I am now running into a bottle neck with money and gear. I have less than 10K in gold, no reagents and the nothing but the starter gear and a ring/sword I bought.
All the signs in the newbie area state it is only for accounts under 21 days old. How would a newish player with an 800 day account make money and gear?
One more thing (not very important) I first tried out this shard back in 2011, shouldn't my account be in the neighborhood of 2000 days?

when i was newbie in here, i did vote everyday.

you'll vote 5 sites, you can get 1 ED per a day.
if you'll exchange from exex, you can get 50k gold.
if you'll vote everyday, you can get probably 150k per a month.
these amount is good enough for buy newbie stuffs.
(there is rank in voting system , maybe you'll get less money at first)
and Excelsior shard has kinda easy escort system.
you'll do escort , you can get 900g -500g.
you can escort per a 5 mins.
there is various style in Excelsior shard for make money without combat.

is good to start. You might also try your hand at some of the lower tier dungeons. Headless hideout, despise I believe it is (mongbats and more headless) if your combat skills are low. Then move on to shame with earth eles. They have about 120 gold and some gems you can sell when you collect a few. Might even get some t maps and they have rare gems from time to time.You could even start collecting bulk order deeds and work a few of those. Or make some of the things that equipped players dont want to do. Trans location powder, arrows, bolts, the afore mentioned rare gems, and sell them on exex. Just type [exex to pull up the menu. Also ask around to see if someone will let you use their personal trainer to raise your combat skills. You will need some throw away weapons to train up as they will get damaged and eventually poof but the trade off will be worth it.

Voting is great at the beginning but you should soon be able to make more in a sitting fighting or crafting than the value of that one ed. It could take a few months based on your style of play. Once you make it, that ed from voting is a nice topping top your day of hunting so don't stop once you reach that level.
