Protection Spell/Spell Resistance

Protection Spell/Spell Resistance

When I first used the protection spell months ago it would drop my Spell resistance down by 34 (to 86 as I had 120 before I used the spell). Recently I've noticed this drop has been reduced by only 29 leaving me with 91. Far as I know I have no gear that should facilitate this change. Am I missing something?

The magical resistance skill reduction is based on your inscription skill. If it used to lower it by 34, that means you had about 20 inscription at the time. Now with lowering of just 29, it means you are at 120 inscription.
